New Opportunities for Students to Experience New Zealand with NZQA International Certification and Specialized Healthcare “Occupational Pass” in 120 Countries alongside Hoa Binh University and Kalandra Education New Zealand
On 19/8, in Hanoi, representatives from Hoa Binh University engaged in discussions with the delegation from the Kalandra Education Group New Zealand and NITA Academy regarding opportunities for studying and gaining practical experience in specialized healthcare in New Zealand. Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Ngoc Hung, President of Hoa Binh University presided over the meeting.

A delegation from Kalandra Education New Zealand joined representatives from Hoa Binh University for discussions on educational and practical healthcare experiences in New Zealand. The meeting welcomed esteemed guests including Ms. Christine Clark, Chairperson of Kalandra Group and Principal of Kalandra Training School, New Zealand, alongside senior leadership from NITA Academy in Vietnam. The international delegation is hosted by Hoa Binh University represented by People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof, Dr. To Ngoc Hưng, HBU President, Prof. Dr. MD Nguyen Duc Trong, HBU Vice President and Directors, Deans of functional Departments, and the Faculty of Medicine.

During the session, HBU President To Ngoc Hung commended Kalandra Education New Zealand’s efforts in collaborating with private educational institutions and enterprises in the healthcare sector towards integrating training with practical healthcare for the elderly. Dr. Christine shared insights on New Zealand’s healthcare and education priorities, scholarship systems for medical students, and participation in collaborative programs.

Discussions were held on the training landscape in the medical field, facilitated by Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thinh, and the medical department’s technical staff, aiming to define the specialization scope for mutual cooperation.

Furthermore, Ms. Dang Thanh Mai, Deputy Director General of NITA Academy, elaborated on New Zealand government scholarships, highlighting the international recognition of Vietnamese healthcare certifications. The NZQA international certification, obtained through 37 weeks at Hoa Binh University and 11 weeks in New Zealand, acts as a “Occupational Pass” to 120 countries, offering abundant job opportunities for eligible healthcare students and professionals working with the elderly.

Assoc.Prof., Dr To Ngoc Hung concluded the meeting by reaching agreements with Kalandra Education and NITA Academy on short-term training collaborations, professional exchanges to enhance the medical workforce, and the joint effort to produce nationally accredited healthcare personnel to New Zealand Quality Authority standards. Hoa Binh University, in partnership with New Zealand collaborators and NITA Academy, commits to specific cooperation terms and New Zealand government scholarship programs covering 25% to 75% of course fees for students engaging in international short-term training programs./.
