Hoa Binh University visited the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases

On the afternoon of October 1, 2024, the leadership of Hoa Binh University (HBU) had a cordial meeting with the Board of Directors of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases (Dong Anh, Hanoi), engaging in in-depth discussions regarding the potential for collaboration across various fields related to the educational activities within the Health sector at the university.

Representing HBU included: Dr. Nguyen Van Ngu – Secretary of the Party, Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. To Ngoc Hung – Deputy Party Secretary, President; Prof. Dr. MD. Nguyen Duc Trong – Vice President; along with the manager of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Training Department, and the General Administration Department of the University. From the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, there came the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach – Director, Dr. Nguyen Trung Cap – Deputy Director, and the leaders of the hospital’s departments.

During the meeting, both sides provided an overview of the formation and development processes of the two institutions, highlighting the significant achievements of each. The leadership of HBU expressed their desire for the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases to become a practical training and internship facility for students in the Health sector at the university. They also proposed collaboration with the hospital in management and teaching activities, as well as providing favorable conditions for university lecturers to work in the hospital departments, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of education for students and training high-quality healthcare professionals, meeting the demands for skills and professional ethics and laying the foundation for establishing HBU as a reputable institution for Health studies in the country.

Through the discussions, the leadership of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases agreed to create the best learning environment to meet the students’ needs in acquiring and mastering knowledge and practical experience to enhance the quality of education at HBU. They also pledged to strengthen cooperation with the university’s faculty in medical examination and treatment in clinical departments, contributing to the continuous development of the hospital.

In a spirit of openness, trust, and collaboration, both parties agreed to sign a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding in the near future to enhance activities related to academic exchange and faculty collaboration.

The discussions during the meeting mark the beginning of a fruitful partnership, opening up opportunities for comprehensive collaboration between HBU and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the future./.
