Hoa Binh University and Enterprises Collaborate to Empower Students in Integration Journey

In the Education Development Strategy towards 2030 and Vision to 2045, approved by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on December 31, 2024, in Decision No. 1705/QD-TTg, education and training are identified as key drivers for the nation’s development. On the morning of January 9, 2025, in Hanoi, Hoa Binh University welcomed a delegation from Gimcheon University, South Korea, and collaborating partners. The event consisted of two sessions: the first session involved discussions on cooperation between Hoa Binh University, Gimcheon University, and collaborating partners. The second session, titled “Exchange and Connection,” was dedicated to students from Hoa Binh University, representatives from Gimcheon University, and partnering enterprises.

In the Session 1 of Hoa Binh Unviersity – Gimcheon University (Korea) Collaborative Meeting, there came People’s Teachers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Ngoc Hung, President of Hoa Binh University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trong, Vice Rector, along with administrative staff from various departments and institutes. The delegation from Gimcheon University, South Korea, led by Prof. Yoon Ok-Hyun, Rector, and Mr. Choi Bo-Sik, Vice Rector of Gimcheon University, alongside representatives from Gimcheon University’s Vietnam office, partnering enterprises, and media partners. Hoa Binh University collaborated with Ocean Education & Settlement Consulting Joint Stock Company (HTO) in organizing the program.

During the Session 2 “Vietnam-Korean Connection”, Hoa Binh University, partnering enterprises, and Gimcheon University certified and announced 11 official partners, including Vietnamese investment and education enterprises of the university. Following the partner announcement, representatives from Gimcheon University and the enterprises introduced study programs and internships in Gimcheon, Korea, shared post-graduation employment trends, and provided career guidance to students.

This event not only signifies progress in the educational relationship between the university and enterprises in training and research but also opens opportunities for Vietnamese students to study, intern, and experience Korean culture. It not only promotes educational cooperation but also initiates the development pathway towards a university with member institutions of Hoa Binh University focusing on excellence in teaching, job opportunities for graduates, and the happiness of Gimcheon University students in Korea. With the support of partnering enterprises, students receive assistance with formalities and gain insights into post-graduation career paths.

Accordingly, domestic and international university-enterprise cooperation to mobilize comprehensive resources is the foundation for preparing students to become modern citizens. This includes inheriting and fostering the nation’s good traditions, absorbing global cultures, developing well-rounded Vietnamese individuals, meeting the demands of socio-economic development in the new era, actively engaging and exchanging with advanced universities in the Asian region.
