Commencement Ceremony for the Academic Year 2024-2025 at Hoa Binh University

On the morning of September 24, 2024, Hoa Binh University solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the Academic Year 2024-2025. This event provided an opportunity for the university to review the achievements of the past year and set goals for development in the new academic year.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry’s leadership, including:

• Associate Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Quality Management Department at the Ministry of Education and Training
• Mr. Vu Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Environment at the Ministry of Education and Training
• Dr. Nguyen Mai Duong, Director of the Technology Development and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Science and Technology
• Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the NATEC under the Ministry of Science and Technology
• Mr. Dam Quang Thang, Chairman of the National Startup and Innovation Advisory Council

During the Opening Ceremony, there was a presence of esteemed leaders from universities, representatives from banks, corporations, partner enterprises, Principals from high schools, press agencies, and television stations.

Attending to the Ceremony, Hoa Binh University Representatives include:

• Dr. Nguyen Van Ngu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Board of Directors
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tô Ngọc Hưng, the University’s President
• Prof. Dr. MD. Nguyễn Đức Trọng, Vice President of the University
• Dr. Đào Hải, Vice President of the University

Also in attendance were the university’s staff, lecturers from various departments and institutes, and notably, the presence of students, learners, and freshmen of the 17th intake at Hoa Binh University.

On behalf of the University’s Board of Directors, all academia, employees, and students of Hoa Binh University, People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof., Dr. To Ngoc Hung warmly welcomed over 1500 new students from across the country who have enrolled at Hoa Binh University. He shared, “The Opening Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year at Hoa Binh University took place with great significance in Hanoi, with the participation of over 1500 new students. The university emphasizes its mission to train high-quality human resources, collaborate with enterprises for students to gain practical experience and international integration. The university is committed to innovating education and encourages both teachers and students to strive for greater achievements in the new academic year.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Ngoc Hung, the University’s President, delivered the opening speech. She performed the ritual of beating the drum to mark the start of the new academic year 2024-2025. The freshmen from the 17th intake also received the traditional flag from the previous intake.

The new students of the 17th intake at Hoa Binh University carried out the tradition of receiving the traditional flag from students of the previous intake.

Also speaking at the event on behalf of the academia, Dr. Tran Diem Hang, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, represented the university’s staff and lecturers. Dr. Diem Hang expressed, “As a lecturer, along with my colleagues, we will continue to equip ourselves with scientific knowledge, experience, and new teaching methods with the utmost sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and passion for our work, offering all our love and care to our students.”

Representing the freshmen of the 17th intake, Nguyen Thu Hang, a student from the Faculty of Banking, Finance and Accounting, shared, “Today, as I stand in a new role as a freshman at Hoa Binh University, we feel extremely proud to be students of this prestigious institution symbolized by the dove of peace, where we will access new knowledge, learn to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to serve our future careers and lives. This will also be the place where our dreams will take flight, helping us become useful citizens for our country.”

On this occasion, Hoa Binh University awarded prizes to new students who achieved high results in the regular university entrance exam for the academic year 2024-2025 and to students who excelled in their studies and extracurricular activities during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Hoa Binh University held a ceremony to recognize and honor new students as well as those who have excelled in their achievements.

Additionally, as part of the opening ceremony, the university announced and presented flowers to organizations, corporations, and enterprises that have supported and sponsored scholarships, gifts, and financial aid for the students of the university.

Various organizations, corporations, and businesses have provided support, assistance, gifts, and scholarships for the students of the university.

The Commencement Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year was a great success, marking the beginning of a promising new journey for the teachers and students of Hoa Binh University.
