Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation between Hoa Binh University and the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital – Development Opportunities for Medical Students

On the morning of October 11, 2024, Hoa Binh University hosted the Delegation of Leaders of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for a visit and collaboration, opening up numerous learning and development opportunities for students, particularly in the medical field. The ceremony took place in a welcoming and productive atmosphere, marking a significant step forward in the strategic relationship between a reputable university and a leading specialized hospital.

The ceremony was attended by numerous leaders from both sides. Representing the the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, there came:

  • Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach – Hospital Director;
  • Dr. Nguyen Trung Cap – Deputy Director of the Hospital;
  • Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Ha – Head of the Functional Exploration Department;
  • Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Trong – Head of the Hepatobiliary, Digestive, and Oncology Department;
  • Dr. Hoang Manh Ha – Head of the Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Department;
  • Prof. Dr. Tran Van Giang – Head of the Comprehensive Planning Department;
  • Dr. Khiieu Manh Cuong – Hepatobiliary, Digestive, and Oncology Department.

On the side of Hoa Binh University, participants included:

  • Dr. Nguyen Van Ngu – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council;
  • People’s Teacher, Associate Prof., Dr. To Ngoc Hung – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, University President;
  • Prof. Dr. MD. Nguyen Duc Trong – Vice President of the University.

Alongside the leaders of departments and units such as the University and Postgraduate Training Office, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Traditional Medicine.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Prof. Dr. To Ngoc Hung, the President of Hoa Binh University, shared: “We always prioritize students in the activities of our university. This collaboration marks a significant step for students to access the real environment at one of the top hospitals nationwide. This will provide a solid foundation for students to not only develop their professional skills but also mature in terms of responsibility and professional ethics.

In his statement, Dr. Nguyen Van Ngu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, affirmed: “The signing of the cooperation agreement between Hoa Binh University and the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital is evidence of our deep and extensive cooperation strategy with industry-leading partners. This not only helps enhance the quality of education but also creates long-term value for society through the training of high-quality medical personnel.

Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach, Director of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, emphasized: “We are honored to collaborate with Hoa Binh University, a reputable institution in the healthcare sector. This agreement will unlock valuable opportunities for both parties, especially for students, enabling them to engage with the practical aspects of the medical field and develop the necessary skills to become leading healthcare professionals in the future.”

During the working session, both sides signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking a significant step in the development of comprehensive collaboration programs. This agreement focuses on various areas such as exchanging specialized knowledge, organizing internship programs for students, and promoting scientific research.

For students at Hoa Binh University, this agreement creates incredibly valuable practical opportunities. Students will have access to real healthcare environments at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, enhancing their skills and expertise through internship programs. Moreover, this is an occasion for students to learn from experienced doctors in specialized medical fields.
