Grant call for International Research Empowerment Programme (IREP)

We are inviting interested UK and Vietnamese universities to apply for the International Research Empowerment Programme, supported by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology’s International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) under the ISPF thematic priority ‘Tomorrow’s Talents’.

1. Grant amount: up to £80,000

2. Grant length: up to 18 months, starting March 2025

3. Priority areas:

• Promote Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange in Interdisciplinary Research
• Create Opportunities for Researchers and Institutions to Engage with Communities, Policymakers, and Translate Research into Societal Benefits

4. Application deadline: 6 October 2024, 12:00pm BST / 6.00pm GMT+7

5. Vietnamese applications should address and related to one of the following research areas:

• Health: Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics (e.g., Vaccine Manufacturing; Drug Discovery; Precision Medicine; Genomics; Digital Health)
• Environmental resilience: Circular Economy; Energy Transition
• Innovative technologies: Data Science; Artificial Intelligence
